Make a Voxel Party game

Describe your game, copy one prompt, and give it to your coding agent. It sets itself up, designs the game, builds it, tests it with CPU players, and gives you a link your friends open to play with you.

Your game

Read it

Paste it into Claude Code (or Codex, Cursor, any agent that can run commands), in an empty folder. The prompt carries the whole voxelparty-game skill and how to install Bun and the SDK, so there's nothing to set up first. Leave the box empty and just say what you want after pasting, if you like.

Needs Bun (the agent installs it), and Chrome, Edge or Chromium for the headless test run.

What your agent does

Anything from a 16-player shooter with mouse look to a one-minute party minigame: "a team shooter with bomb sites on floating islands", "a sumo game on an ice floe", "a co-op zombie night". It will:

  1. write a one-paragraph design (the goal, the controls, how many players, how a round ends),
  2. build the rules and CPU players first and prove the multiplayer headless, with people joining and leaving,
  3. add the voxel art and sounds,
  4. play it headless with CPUs (muted) and look at the screenshots,
  5. open it for you to play at http://127.0.0.1:5180,
  6. and, if you like, upload it and give you a link.

Play it with friends

bunx vp share prints a Play it link. Open it and you're in a lobby for your game: press Invite, send the party link, and your friends land in the same lobby (or add CPUs and press Start). Every game runs in a locked-down sandbox on voxelparty.io; publish it to Community there for everyone.

The skill on its own

For Claude Code, so every session knows how (the prompt does this too):

bunx --package https://cdn.voxelparty.io/sdk/voxelparty-sdk-3.19.0.tgz vp skill install

Or unzip it into your skills folder yourself. Later, bunx vp skill update keeps it current.

Without an agent

bunx --package https://cdn.voxelparty.io/sdk/voxelparty-sdk-3.19.0.tgz vp init my-game
cd my-game
bunx vp dev # play it, rebuilt on every save
bunx vp check # typecheck, test, and a headless run with CPUs, with screenshots
bunx vp docs # the docs for this SDK
bunx vp share # a link to play it with friends

vp init my-game --minigame starts a 2–4 player board-party minigame instead.
